Published Feb 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Reflected XSS in Share on Diaspora 0.7.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user’s browser. The redirect function writes title, URL, and saved pod strings into body.innerHTML and shareurl.innerHTML without escaping them. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted share URL; the resulting script execution affects that victim’s plugin-page session.
