Unauthenticated SQL execution via unvalidated top parameter
Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
SQL injection in Soundslike allows remote attackers to execute attacker-controlled SQL through the related-songs API's top parameter. The get_song_relations route passes top to get_related_songs_json, which formats the value directly into a raw SQL LIMIT clause. The route lacks an authentication decorator, so any network client able to reach it can run queries with the application's database privileges.
