CVE-2017-20140Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unneutralized f parameter

Published Jul 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Reflected XSS in movie.php in iTechScripts Movie Portal Script 7.36 allows remote attackers to execute script via the f parameter. The endpoint returns the f parameter’s HTML tag and event handler without neutralizing them, so a crafted response executes in a visitor’s browser. A remote attacker must induce a visitor to open a crafted movie.php URL; successful execution can read or modify browser-accessible page data.
