Service shutdown via unvalidated cross-origin request
Published Jun 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in TrueConf Server 4.3.7 allows remote attackers to stop the service through an administrator's browser. The /admin/service/stop/ endpoint accepts a cross-origin POST request without verifying that the logged-in administrator intended the action. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to visit attacker-controlled content, after which the server service is stopped.
