User redirection via unvalidated redirect URL
Published Jun 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Open redirect in TrueConf Server 4.3.7 allows remote attackers to send users to arbitrary websites through a crafted trusted-domain link. The /admin/general/change-lang handler copies the unverified redirect_url GET parameter into the HTTP Location header. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted link; the resulting redirect can support phishing but does not change server data.
