Stored script execution via unsanitized conference topic
Published Jun 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in TrueConf Server 4.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The conference-creation handler stores the topic field without properly sanitizing script-related HTML before returning it to users. A low-privilege authenticated account can plant the payload, but execution requires another user to view the stored conference data in a browser.
