Published Jun 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper privilege management in ShadeYouVPN.com Client 2.0.1.11 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as SYSTEM. The ShadeYou service accepts an arbitrary file path over its localhost TCP socket on port 10295 and executes that file as SYSTEM without verification. Any local user able to connect to the loopback service can run a crafted batch file and obtain Administrator-equivalent control.
