Authenticated code execution via incomplete extension blocklist
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Elefant CMS before 1.3.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the file manager. The /filemanager/upload/drop handler blocks .php files but accepts other executable PHP extensions, including .php5. Editor or administrator file-management rights are required; a crafted upload can execute server-side PHP or script in a browser.
