Stored XSS via unescaped title
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Elefant CMS 1.3.12-RC allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted Title Handler input. The handler stores attacker-supplied title markup without adequate HTML neutralization, allowing an injected image event handler to run when a page is viewed. Exploitation requires an authenticated content-writing role and a victim to view the affected page, resulting in browser-side script execution with limited integrity impact.
