Stored XSS via unencoded version comparison fields
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Elefant CMS 1.3.12-RC allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The version-comparison view echoes stored profile and page fields into its HTML without output encoding. A registered account can supply the payload, and execution requires an administrator to open the affected comparison view, enabling cookie theft or actions in that session.
