Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped POST keys
Published Jun 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in phpList 3.2.6 allows remote attackers to read database data through the public subscription update endpoint. The update loop in /lists/admin/subscribelib2.php escapes POST values but interpolates unescaped list-array keys as listid values in a REPLACE query. No account is required, although the disclosed error-based extraction request requires database errors to be displayed.
