Script execution via unsanitized pasted rich text
Published Jun 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
DOM cross-site scripting in HumHub 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through rich-text input. The rich-text editor accepts pasted HTML tags without neutralizing script-capable markup before the browser adds it to the page. Exploitation requires a user to paste attacker-supplied HTML into the editor, limiting execution to that user's HumHub browser context.
