Service interruption via malformed UDP configuration datagram
Published Jun 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Denial of service in Solar-Log firmware 2.8.4-56 and 3.5.2-85 allows remote attackers to disable the appliance over UDP port 8001. The embedded Beck IPC configuration server accepts a datagram containing null bytes and enters an unusable state instead of safely rejecting or releasing the malformed request. Unauthenticated network access to the device is sufficient, and service remains unavailable until a manual reboot.
