Information disclosure via unauthenticated ChipCfg endpoint
Published Jun 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Information disclosure in Solar-Log firmware 2.8.4-56 and 3.5.2-85 allows remote attackers to read device and network details. The unauthenticated /ChipCfg endpoint returns the gateway, MAC address, IPC@CHIP RTOS version, and serial number, while UDP port 8001 also answers same-subnet multicast queries. HTTP reachability is sufficient for disclosure; the returned identifiers and internal-network settings expose appliance and network inventory.
