Team creator email disclosure to team members
Published Jun 19, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information disclosure in Mattermost Server before 4.3.0, 4.2.1, and 4.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to read the team creator's email. Published sources do not identify the API handler or serialization path that returns the creator's email without enforcing the intended field-level restriction. The exposed value is limited to the team creator's email address, and the requester must be a member of that team.
