Path traversal in Mattermost Server before 4.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to create arbitrary files via crafted upload requests. DoUploadFile used unnormalized team, channel, and user identifiers when composing the storage path, allowing traversal elements to escape intended directories. Exploitation requires System Admin privileges and the local file-storage backend; the established impact is attacker-chosen file creation.
