Node reconfiguration via unprotected remote AT commands

Improper access control in Digi XBee 2 allows remote authenticated users to disconnect or reconfigure ZigBee nodes via AT commands. XBee 2 firmware automatically interprets remote AT command packets at the MAC layer; an ATID packet with a bogus network identifier rewrites the target node's network selection. The attacker must already be connected to the target ZigBee network, after which a single packet can isolate a sensor or redirect its communications.
