Unauthenticated command execution through web interface
Published Apr 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
OS command injection in NETGEAR M4200 and M4300 switches running firmware 12.0.2.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands. The web interface permits unauthenticated administrator-privileged command execution, but NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected endpoint, parameter, or faulty input-handling operation. Access to the switch web interface is required; successful exploitation grants switch takeover, configuration-file access, or service disruption.
