Pre-authentication command execution via undisclosed injection
Published Apr 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Command injection in affected NETGEAR router firmware allows remote attackers to execute commands through an adjacent network. Affected releases are JR6150 and R6050 before 1.0.1.10, PR2000 before 1.0.0.18, and R6700v2, R6800, and R6900v2 before 1.2.0.4; NETGEAR has not published the vulnerable component, request field, or command-construction error. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction but does require adjacent-network access; injected commands can control the router.
