Unauthenticated arbitrary file read
Published Apr 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Arbitrary file read in eight NETGEAR router and gateway models allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to read device files. Neither NETGEAR's advisory nor the CVE record discloses the affected interface, request parameter, file-path handling flaw, or other code-level mechanism. No authentication or user interaction is required, but access is limited to an adjacent network; the issue exposes file contents without reported write or service-interruption impact.
