Memory corruption via sensor hub buffer overflow
Published Apr 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Buffer overflow in the sensor hub on Samsung mobile devices with Android 4.4 through 7.0 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory. Samsung has not published the affected function, input path, or unchecked copy operation that overruns the sensor-hub buffer. Exposure is limited to devices using Exynos54xx, Exynos7420, Exynos8890, or Exynos8895 chipsets; public sources do not establish code execution or a crash as the resulting consequence.
