Kernel protection bypass in RKP on Samsung mobile devices running Android 7.0 allows remote attackers to create disallowed memory mappings. RKP fails to trap model-specific register operations on Qualcomm chipsets, permitting mappings that its kernel-memory policy should block. Exposure is limited to Samsung devices combining Android 7.0 with a Qualcomm chipset, and the documented consequence is loss of kernel-memory mapping integrity.
