Information disclosure via RKP log out-of-bounds read
Published Apr 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in the RKP log buffer on Samsung mobile devices with Android 6.0 and 7.x allows remote attackers to obtain data. The RKP logging implementation reads beyond its buffer boundary and exposes adjacent memory rather than restricting access to allocated log data. Network reachability and no authentication or user interaction are required; the documented consequence is memory disclosure, not modification or service interruption.
