CVE-2017-18153

Local privilege escalation via WLAN driver race

Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN drivers allows local users to corrupt memory and elevate privileges on affected devices. A race in the WLAN driver permits an object to be freed while another execution path can still access it; the object and functions are undisclosed. Local execution is required, and successful exploitation can compromise data or interrupt the device without user interaction.
