Administrator-assisted code execution via unsafe workflow classes
Published Aug 2, 2021 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Code injection in Atlassian Jira Server and Jira Data Center before 8.18.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via workflow import. DefaultOSWorkflowConfigurator permits workflows to reference unsafe conditions, validators, functions, and registers from OSWorkflow and Jira dependencies. Exploitation requires a system administrator to import the attacker's malicious workflow; successful import runs code with Jira's process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
