CVE-2017-17772Network attack vector

Remote out-of-bounds reads via crafted 802.11 frames

Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Buffer over-reads in Snapdragon Mobile WLAN HOST processing allow remote attackers to access out-of-bounds memory via crafted 802.11 frames. Multiple undisclosed frame-processing functions fail to validate frame fields before reading beyond their intended buffers. No authentication or user interaction is required, but Qualcomm has not published the individual functions or a more specific consequence.
