Buffer overread in Google Android 7.0 through 8.1 allows remote attackers to disclose global static data via a crafted MP3 file. The MP3 header parser accepts reserved bitrate index 15, and pvmp3_get_main_data_size uses that invalid value without a bounds check to read beyond a global bitrate table. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of process-global static data.
