Out-of-range pointer use in Qualcomm Snapdragon VP9 decoding allows remote attackers to trigger invalid decoder memory access. The video component programs an incorrect frame size into hardware on affected revisions, causing the decoder to address memory outside its valid range. Reachability requires hardware-accelerated VP9 decoding on an affected chipset; public records do not identify a more specific payload or resulting action.
