Out-of-bounds read in ImageMagick before 7.0.1-0 allows remote attackers to crash image-processing applications via a crafted file. The parse8BIM routine in coders/meta.c reads one byte beyond its heap buffer while parsing malformed 8BIM metadata. Exploitation requires a target application to process the supplied file; the documented consequence is a process crash, not data disclosure or modification.
