Stored XSS via unsanitized CSV import
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Stored XSS in CodePeople CP Polls 1.0.8 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in browsers that display imported poll data. The administrator-only CSV import in wp-admin/admin.php stores importfile fields without HTML neutralization, so event-handler markup executes when saved votes are rendered. Exploitation requires a logged-in WordPress administrator to visit a crafted page that submits the import request; the resulting script runs with the privileges of later viewers.
