CVE-2016-20058Public exploit

LocalSystem escalation via unquoted service paths

Published Apr 4, 2026 · Updated Apr 4, 2026

Unquoted service paths in AMITI Antivirus 23.0.305 allow local users to execute code with LocalSystem privileges after a service restart. The AmitiAvSrv and AmitiAvHealth services register unquoted executable paths under C:\Program Files, causing Windows to search attacker-writable path prefixes before reaching the intended binaries. A local user must place an executable in a searched prefix location and wait for or trigger a service restart or system reboot.
