Stack-based buffer overflow in Pavel Kouznetsov JAD 1.5.8e and earlier allows local users to execute code via an oversized argument. JAD accepts a command-line argument longer than 8,150 bytes without adequate boundary checks, allowing the input to overwrite stack data and the saved return address. A local user must invoke the decompiler with the crafted string; successful exploitation runs shellcode in the JAD process, while failed attempts crash it.
