Stack-based buffer overflow in YASR 0.6.9-5 allows local users to crash the process or execute arbitrary code through an oversized -p argument. The command-line parser copies the argument into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing its capacity, allowing the payload to overwrite the saved return address. Any local user able to launch yasr can trigger the fault; successful shellcode runs with the process's privileges, while an unsuccessful attempt crashes only yasr.
