CVE-2016-1555Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized MAC address input

Published Apr 21, 2017 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Command injection in NETGEAR WN604 before 3.3.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands via unauthenticated HTTP requests. The boardData102.php, boardData103.php, boardDataJP.php, boardDataNA.php, and boardDataWW.php handlers pass form input directly to the command line; the public exploit injects command separators into macAddress. WN802Tv2, WNAP210v2, WNAP320, WNDAP350, WNDAP360, and WNDAP660 before 3.5.5.0 are also affected, and exploitation requires network access to an affected handler but no credentials or user interaction.
