CVE-2016-15058

Administrative credential disclosure via SNMP password synchronization

Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026

Credential exposure in Belden Hirschmann Classic Switch Software allows remote attackers to recover administrator passwords over SNMP. The enabled Password Sync function copies the administrator password into an SNMPv1/v2 community string, which those protocols transmit in plaintext. Local-network access and Password Sync are required; affected branches are L2E, L2P, L3E, and L3P before 09.0.06 and L2B before 05.3.07.
