CVE-2016-15039Network attack vector

Authenticated request smuggling via forbidden XMLHttpRequest headers

Published Jul 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

HTTP request smuggling in phpLDAPadmin at commit 665dbc2690ebeb5392d38f1fece0a654225a0b38 allows remote authenticated users to alter message framing. makeHttpRequest sets Content-length from the parameter-string length and forces Connection to close through XMLHttpRequest, creating conflicting framing metadata. Exploitation requires an authenticated session; public sources do not identify the injectable follow-on request or the exact data and service effects.
