Code execution via unverified downloaded files
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 6, 2024
Improper file verification in SaAT Netizen 1.2.0.8 and earlier and its installer 1.2.0.424 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute files. Installation and update routines accept downloaded files without adequately verifying authenticity, allowing in-transit substitution before execution. Exploitation requires a network position that permits update traffic interception and replacement, resulting in execution with the affected process's privileges.
