System crash via malformed image decoding

Improper error handling in Qjpeg on Samsung mobile software 5.0, 5.1, and 6.0 allows attackers to crash the system via a malformed image. The decode function in Qt 5.7 Qjpeg fails to reject or safely handle malformed image data and instead terminates the system during processing. A victim must open or otherwise process the attacker-supplied image; the documented effect is an availability-only crash, with no reported data access or modification.
