Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized login username

OS command injection in AKIPS Network Monitor 15.37 through 16.5 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the login page. The login path passes the username through a Perl module to open2() for a custom PAM program without neutralizing shell metacharacters, so || appends a command. No account or user interaction is required; commands run with the AKIPS service's privileges, and output appears in a constrained login-failure field.
