File manipulation via intercepted Inputmethod path traversal

Path traversal in Samsung mobile devices running Android 4.4 and later through 2015-06-16 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to alter files. The Inputmethod update path uses HTTP instead of HTTPS in some cases, allowing an interceptor to insert directory-traversal sequences into paths used to extract received files. Exploitation requires control of the client-server data stream and causes limited file confidentiality and integrity impact without interrupting service.
