Buffer overflow in Audio File Library allows remote attackers to crash a consuming application via a crafted audio file. In afReadFrames, channel conversion uses the output format context as input, causing a 16-bit-to-8-bit conversion to treat the caller's byte buffer as 16-bit storage and write past its end. A user or consuming workflow must process the file and request both channel-count and sample-width conversion; memory corruption is demonstrated, while arbitrary code execution is reported but not demonstrated.
