SQL injection via unneutralized evid parameter
Published Mar 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in JEvents Joomla Component before 3.4.0 RC6 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via evid. The administrator-side Manage Events save action incorporates the modified evid value into a query in administration/com_jevents/controllers/icalevent.php without neutralizing SQL syntax. Backoffice access and a new-event request with updaterepeats set to 1 are required; attacker-controlled SQL then changes the query executed by the site's database.
