Local file disclosure via unchecked path traversal
Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Path traversal in Free Reprintables ArticleFR 3.0.7 and earlier allows local users to read arbitrary files via the s parameter. The application/templates/amelia/loadjs.php script uses the attacker-controlled s value as a file path without restricting traversal outside the intended directory. A local low-privileged account is required, and successful exploitation exposes readable server files without reported modification or service interruption.
