Arbitrary SQL execution via unquoted news IDs
Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in Enorth Webpublisher CMS allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands through the cbNewsId request parameter. The delete_pending_news.jsp endpoint passes every cbNewsId value to PendingNewsBean.deletePendingNews, which concatenates the values unquoted into a DELETE statement's IN clause before execution. No authentication is required; crafted input can expose stored credentials through a database error channel and alter or delete database records.
