Unauthenticated report disclosure via unchecked FRS paths
Published Aug 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Path traversal in SAP BusinessObjects Edge 4.0 allows remote attackers to read FRS reports through the unauthenticated CORBA listener. The listener accepts a caller-supplied FRS pathname and returns the referenced repository file without an authentication check. The attacker must know or guess a report ID and path; successful access discloses the stored report and any sensitive business data it contains.
