Code execution via interpolated XPath reference lookup

XPath injection in ruby-saml before 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted SAML signature reference URI. The validate_signature method interpolates the URI attribute into an at_xpath predicate, allowing XPath metacharacters to alter the signed-element lookup. An unauthenticated remote attacker must supply a SAML document whose Reference URI reaches signature verification; successful exploitation executes code in the consuming application's process.
