Unrestricted file upload in NextGEN Gallery before 2.0.77.3 allows remote attackers to upload dangerous files through a forged request. The gallery upload path accepts user-supplied file types without adequate validation and lacks a reliable check that the request was intentionally initiated. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to interact with attacker-controlled content; an uploaded server-executable file grants application-level access.
