CVE-2015-10144Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unsanitized image upload

Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Arbitrary file upload in Responsive Thumbnail Slider before 1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via crafted images. The image-management uploader accepts the multipart image_name filename and stores it without enforcing an allowed file type or extension, so a double-extension image can become an executable PHP file. Subscriber-level WordPress access and permission to reach the plugin's image-management page are required; executing the stored file compromises the site under the web server's privileges.
