Script execution via unescaped admin-page URLs
Published Mar 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Reflected XSS in TFO Graphviz 1.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The admin_page function writes the URL returned by remove_query_arg into the form action without esc_url, while admin_page_load redirects to a referrer assembled with add_query_arg without esc_url_raw. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the crafted URL; injected script then runs with that user's WordPress session privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
