Open redirect via unescaped process_request URL
Published Jun 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Open redirect in WooCommerce WooSidebars Sidebar Manager Converter 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect users. The process_request function passes an add_query_arg-built URL containing the action query value to wp_safe_redirect without first applying esc_url. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires user interaction, enabling redirection to an attacker-chosen site rather than server compromise.
